The slot machine is set in the midst of a prehistoric forest. Your symbols are prehistoric creatures such as mammoths and sabre-toothed tigers. There are also some ancient birds and bears thrown in for good measure. We were a little hard-pressed to decide how the gemstone symbols fit into the slot machine, but we are just going to roll with it. The soundtrack of the game is designed to be relaxing. It doesn’t stand out, but you are not going to be switching it off any time soon.

By all accounts, this is one of the first slot machines that Quickspin designed that boasts the ‘243 ways to win’ structure of the game. In the past, they tended to stick to standard paylines. This was all well and good, but that method doesn’t keep the wins trickling in at a steady rate. This one does. With so many ways to win, the game just feels wonderfully fast paced. While there is a bonus round in this game, which we will be discussing in a short while, you will discover that most of your wins will be triggered in the base game. There are two main ‘features’ in this slot machine:

Random Wilds: this is a feature which is randomly triggered during the base game. From time to time, a Sabre-toothed tiger will leap across the screen. When it does, three of the symbols will be randomly changed to a wild. This will increase your chances of winning. We were actually surprised at just how often this feature actually triggered.

Savage Wild Free Spins: If you get three scatter symbols (The ‘Bonus’ Symbol´) then you will be awarded with 5 free spins. During each spin, up to 2 Wild Symbols will appear on the reels. These will be ‘stacked wilds’. This means that every other symbol on that reel will also become a wild.

The reels which have stacked wilds will change on each spin. Sadly, there is no way in which you will be able to trigger further respins during this bonus feature. In addition to that, there will be no multiplier active on your winnings.
